Opprinnelse

Det var en prestesønn fra Hurdal som tok rosen med hjem fra Giessen i Tyskland på 1800-tallet. Rosen ble etter hvert kjent over store områder. Lokale navn er Nannestadrose, Giessenrose og Moelvrose.
